Rabbi Gershon Grossbaum studied at the Lubavitch Yeshiva in Montreal, Quebec
and was ordained in 1970. After teaching at the New England Hebrew Academy in
Boston, Massachusetts for two years, he joined the Upper Midwest Merkos in St
Paul, Minnesota as Resident Rabbi of Lubavitch House. Creator of several unique
educational programs, including the very popular Living Legacy series, the scope
of his teaching spans groups from the very young to teens and adults. He is known
for his ability to make even the most esoteric, readily understood.
Being asked to help build a mikvah at Elmendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage,
Alaska 1973, opened a new vista for Rabbi Grossbaum. Blending halacha and the
practical, kosher Mikvah criteria and modern design, materials and codes
proved to be just the challenge that Rabbi Grossbaum could apply his talents to.
He has participated in the design and construction of more than 200 Mikvaot.
Rabbi Grossbaum and his wife Ruchie are parents to eleven children.
